OK whats your best time around the ring then on anything PS2 PS3 Xbox 360 PC or if your lucky enough to have been there. Post them up for a laugh :)

And in what car or on what bike lol

Perhaps everyone could do a lap in an M5 as well to give an even match

I saw this a few months ago, shaved 14 seconds off my PS3 time :):):)

Really have to do the Ring some time, before the 'tree huggers' get it banned for being to dangerous :)

6.31 on GT4 with steering wheel and pedal set-up. Full damage and not arcade mode. Car? Le mans Chevy beastie...damn it was a handful!

In reality - 9.45 on lap 12 lap in our E36 323i estate...it r3eally handled pretty well over all and was a great car (since sold).

I can't wait to get 'Christine' over there later this year...

in real life so far the lap times have been:

1985 M535i - 12 mins 14 secs. (first ever lap was over 18 mins!)

1990 535i - 10 mins 45 secs (should have broken the 10 minute barrier but for 3 accidents on that lap i had to slow down for)

1991 e36 325i - 5 minutes - but i only got as far as Bergwerk !

1998 Rover 620d - 13.29 - amazed it got round at all.

I think the e36 would have been quickest if i could have got a full dry lap in, but the e34 was well suited for tourist driving too.

Class U - Ferrari FXX - ABS only - 6m 56.023s

Just returned from the Ring,

Got round in 9.20BTG in my Corrado VR6, should really have got down to the 9min barrier but my oil temp was upto 148'C!!!!.

Bit of traffic too!.

Luckily i was running 10W/60 Race oil as i just wasn't going to get time to fit an oil cooler (to replace the crap heat exchanger VW fit) before the trip.

I reckon 9 minutes is possible next year if ive still got the thing but i will definitely have the oil temp under control!!

Pete.

My old G60's oil temp always went through the roof after a blast, still regret selling it :(

Any mods to your VR Pete?

Nothing engine wise to speak of mate, only a Miltek zorst and decat.

Chassis is spot on though,Konigsport Coilovers, poly up front, new rear OEM beam bushes for the passive rear steer.

Braided hoses and the later Mk3 VR6 288 front brakes.

Loved the Missus G60 but only when i was in the mood, RSR outlet made it too noisy when you were pottering and she hated it!

VR is a different kettle of fish...

I've been playing around with GTR-Evolution, a few nice BMW's in there. Anyway Nordschleife completed in an E30 M3 in 7.59.790. That was in-car view and force feedback wheel :) Great fun.

So looking forward to getting my M5 and visiting the 'ring.

I'll have to see what our boys have got re xbox 360 Ring driving, it' hard to keep up with what they've got, or swapped with friends etc.

 wonder if any of them have M5 and the Ring...
