Track day 'DO NOT FORGET' list

Recommended Posts

Haha, lol, there's an idea :twisted:

No, mind is made up as above. I need to do a track day or two in order to decide if it's worth the £1K 'investment' in what is not a track dedicated car. Current set-up perfectly good for road use.

Off out to wash it now. I know it'll look like poo at the end of the day but may as well start out clean ;)

OK, I've remembered tread gauge for those who may be nearing 1.6mm for the drive home & summat to clean the windscreen with. I've just done a cut/paste job with a bit of editing and adding so you can easily print out the list so far. I'm busy seeing how much I can get into the boot ;)

Neck brace thing

Gloves

Light fleece

Waterproof coat

Spare change of clothes - inc pants for passenger rides with loons

Indemnity forms - both filled in

Tools:

Tyre pressure gauge, tread gauge and foot pump.

Duct or similar tape

Cable ties

Mole grips

Spanners in popular sizes from 8 to 17mm

Multi-ended screwdriver

Trolley jack

Any other useful tools like socket set

Windcreen cleaning stuff.

Spare anti-freeze

I'm not taking everything on the list - supposed to be generic. I don't need PAS fluid for a start ;) I'm relying on Duncan for all the trolley jack type stuff :D

When I took the Westfield to Rockingham last year (Aug 07 - last track day), I forgot a few things I had wanted to take. Hence a list this time!

I haven't added plenty of food and drink .....

E28's..

Make sure one of the front towing eyes is exposed and still strong enough to pull the car.

If you get beached and the towing point isn't clearly visible you are likely to get oiked off by your balljoints!
