Cigarette lighter F10

Recommended Posts

The cigarette lighter sockets (front and rear passenger compartment ones) are powered by fuse 54 in the glovebox fuse box. Assuming you haven't blown the 20amp fuse the other thing to suggest is are you trying to use this socket after a length of time after the car has been switched off?

Fuse 54 is supplied by terminal 30B which is a relay that switches off after a set time, 5-10 mins or so after the car was last used. If nothing is operated on the car, like a door or boot opening the car goes to sleep and shuts down various circuits, anything that is controlled by terminal 30B. The car acces system will shut down terminal 30B.
