E60 535d small turbo 4530 fault code - FIXED

Recommended Posts

I have a 2006 535d e60. Two weeks ago i lost my small turbo. I could not hear the turbo and felt a big loss of power up until 2500rpm. After 2500rpm the big turbo would kick in and I would have full boost. I was told that perhaps the small turbo was blown. The fault code 4530 was stored.

After reading the forums, I am happy to say that I have now fixed the issue. As many have said, it was not the small turbo after all.

I changed my vacuum lines and replaced for silicone ones. I also changed one pressure converter for the small turbo.

My car is now back to normal and the small turbo can now be heard again! Thanks to all in the forums for their help.

Where did you source the silicon hoses?
