E28 533i

Recommended Posts

I called in at my local monthly classic car get together yesterday and came across this comparatively rare beast. Apparently it was made only for the American market for a short run in 1983/4 to combat claims that the 528e was underpowered.  I am sorry that the photos are not better but it was hard to see the camera screen in bright sunshine at 30 degrees centigrade!

Not surprised the 528e was underpowered with those behemoth US spec bumpers...

Great colour combo, digging the deep red interior.

Ha ha, no jealousy here, you're welcome to it,  my motto is "twenty is plenty"

Yes from what I understood this had the M30 engine used in 633i and the 733i. The car was an auto and had an immaculate red leather interior.

Another truly stunning vehicle there was this superb E30 320i M power.

Ooh the Italian market 320is. Nice.

Another rare beast. Made because anything over 2 litres was, at the time, punitive to tax in Italy.
