My 2002 530d Manual Sport Touring - Sold

Recommended Posts

Time to sell her - about to move house and have no space to store.

Take a look here for a write-up of the past 8 yrs with me!

Now, the important part!

She's been off the road since early 2016 - stored in a dry, covered place with tyres pumped-up and battery disconnected.  Having pulled her out to take for MOT I've found a crack in the front windscreen and the o/s rear brake hard lines leaking. I've decided not to bother replacing (I don't have the time) so the car is sold as spares or repair. Hence, £600.

I believe this is very cheap for what she is. You could replace the windscreen and brake lines and enjoy her for years to come, or break up for bits and make a decent profit. I neither have the time nor inclination to do either at the mo unfortunately.

A quick list of the pertinent details for anyone interested:

2002 530d Sport Touring

Manual

227k miles

I'm the third owner, bought her in 2010.

All suspension, links, bushes replaced for OEM in my ownership (see project thread)

Car massively over-serviced, every 6k miles or so (see project thread)

All the usual bits like Turbo, fuel pumps, airbags, etc have been done in my ownership

Over the years there have been a few mods:

Evolve remap

EGR delete

Decat/downpipe

Eibach front ARB, M5 rear ARB

e60 short shifter

M5 leather centre console

Looking for a quick/hassle-free sale please.

Will get pics/answer any questions as required.

Cheers,

Rob

Having read your thoroughly interesting history thread, you've had various sets of wheels fitted.

Do you by any chance still have any sets loose?

Wow what a lot of car for £600! :o somebody got a deal there

I hadn't intended on selling her mate, let alone getting having to so quickly but a house move and no space to store her forced my hand. I hope the new owner thinks he's got good VFM too.

Cheers,

Rob

Judging by the amount of interest,  I'd say you priced it too low.
