Tubular manifold - who's going to take one for the team?

Recommended Posts

I was considering it for my m535i. I emailed them and they are willing to work with someone with a RHD car. As in some form of deal to document fitting & any issues discovered.

I left it as that for the time being.

Hi Doyal

I'm happy to pick up where you left off on this  and document all progress on a thread. If it ends up with us having a cheaper option for a tubular manifold other than the fritz then all good.

Cheers

Spoke to Schmiedmann and this is the reply I got

Yes this one is for LHD and will give issues with the steering box.
It will be to much to develope a RHD manifold of this kind, because we need to order large amount for it to be developed.
I can try a couple of my other suppliers, they may be able to develope the manifold for RHD?
But the price will be different.
I am sorry this is the best I can do.

I wasn't thinking they would adapt it more it was cheap enough to try and see what the issues were.

Few posts up seemed to suggest they were willing to work with someone hence my inquirey

i asked them if they would be interested in developing it with me. I would have bought one and offered it up to show the pinch points.

They sound great but do jaff all for power. I was lucky to buy mine used. Had it on the car for near  10 years and sold it for more than I paid B)
