Spotted in Southend-on-Sea today

Seen this clean looking E34 on the back of a truck today looking not half bad, would like to know the story behind it being there, it's obviously been loved to have lasted this long. What a waste!

I hate seeing things like that, but, to most people that's just an old car, the owner may not be an enthusiast and replacing it became cheaper than maintaining it, it could be the owner passed away and the family didn't realise what they had, who knows? Bloody shame though.....:-(

Or it's been taken in as a 'scrappage scheme' trade in. During the last fiasco I used to pass a scrappage scheme holding yard and the classics being traded to be terminally broken was heartbreaking.
