How much does your key get gripped?

Recommended Posts

Curious as to whether my key grip is poor, or if all E6x's are the same...  My key stays in place, but I can easily pull it out if I want to. I get the feeling that if I had my house keys on the same ring, the extra weight would pull the key out when I went round a corner.

So how much force does it take to pull your key out (for cars with the push button start, obviously!)?

Mine also requires a 'push in' on the thob, that releases and pops the thob out for easy extraction. Sounds like DaveR's has been force pulled for a while and now worn the thob or mechanism (maybe test with a spare).

the retaining clips are worn, you can replace the holder, it is a common issue.
