M57TU2 running problems (SOLVED)

Recommended Posts

Hi I have a car here which starts fine and idles ok. Anything below 2K revs theres no power and is jerky but over 2.5-3K the power comes back on

Theres an EML light on with the following codes

003FF0 DDE - Air flow sensor

004587 4587 Fuel Filter

004501 DDE- Exhaust gas re-circulation, control deviation

Glow plug cylinder 1-6 activation

Is there any think I check first for?

Thanks

If I clear it the EML comes on soon after with the same codes

Sticking EGR valve is a high possibility. It'll cause a bad MAF reading which may bring up that fault. I'd remove it and clean it then put it back on. Also check for vacuum at the end of the pipe that controls it. No vacuum will mean the valve will be stuck in a certain position.

Sorry for the delay. The EGR has was horrible and has been cleaned but it still have the same problem. But if you disconnect the vacuum pipe on the EGR is drives perfect which puts my suspicions on to the throttle actuator attached to it or the EGR vacuum pipe is connected incorrectly as a garage has carried out major engine work on it before. Or it could be some sort of pressure valve that connects to the EGR.

Does anyone have a diagram on the vacuum system?

Thanks

Intake manifold has been removed. Replaced some missing rubber grommet seals and the vacuum pipes. Car drives better and EML light hasnt come on yet. But it still feels sluggish below 2K. If the EGR system is unplugged it drives perfect.

Can you please specify which pressure sensor did you replace? I have exactly the same problem with my E60 535d. Both pressure converters on turbos were replaced already without solving the issue.
