Oh dear....killing your young children and mine by driving another cancer giving DIEsel.

You do realise that the first time Mrs Lennox takes it on the skool run, she will want her F10 back.....

I reckon you will want the Volvo when it turns up and she keeps the BM . I love those new XC90's, they are stunning, great choice.

Probably! If I had ordered the T8 with the plus pack it's a winner.

So what to do with the 5??

- full valet

- remap

- alloys refurbished

- maps updated

- speaker upgrade

Question is do I keep it oem/std looking?

I just updated fathers maps via usb port and fsc code. 22 gig of data for CIC unit on his European maps 730d F01. Huge amount of data really, surprisingly went very smoothly, no issues. Bought fsc code off seller on ebay for £33, with links to map file downloads etc. Very pleased.

speaker upgrade would be last on my list there, if atall.

My advice, steal the XC90 and let her keep the 5!!

What a great looking 4x4, defo gone for the right one in my opinion.

So the order is in, delivery mid November.

Question: has anyone fitted a pedal box before?

I cannot get a plug in as yet for the car from DTUK or TDI Tuning so my only option to improve its "performance" is a pedal box.

I would rather a proper map.

Not directly comparable this adjusts pedal data not engine... Plus no aftermarket remap available as yet.

Volvo polestar does one but over £1k all you really get is the gearbox and pedal tweaks that the pedal box gives you.

Im just trying to help you, cos you haven't bought yourself a fast enough car.

Its eco friendlier with a bit of help from you via the pedals.

The WIFES car! I have a 535d coming back from the dealers soon!!!, 🤞

Well the car is here and 2k in we are honestly loving it.....  Super comfy and surprisingly nimble for a huge 4x4.  Not the quickest thing but it's not that sort of car, on motorway it's seriously holds its own.

Any doubters welcome to try it...

My wife must be a cheap date - she took some persuading to spend £5K on an 11 reg Hyundai i30 last year!!

Only a 1.4 but its a great car, cant help wondering why they don't make a hot one with 300bhp!!

Ditto, she's also no interest in cars at all, we sold the i20 earlier this year and she's in a golf now but she's not bothered either way. The i20 was a cracking car and fully loaded, it was a 13 plate 1.2 iirc. We lost £800 in the 18 months she had it.

Just be glad you didn't have to put spare parts on it! My dad has a 61 plate Santa Fe. It's been pretty reliable, but it was suspected it needed a new MAF sensor because of a running fault. Usually for an OEM one you're looking around £100-£300 if you're really unlucky. Hyundai? I kid you not nearly £900 the parts guy came back with! It also had a CV boot replaced. Just the boot on its own with a clip... £70 nearly!
