Ain't got a clue as to yes or no but it's a good looking thing and I've always liked Volvo interiors. I see they've resisted the modern thing of making the satnav look like an afterthought with the stoopid stand alone screens. What's that all about!?!?!?

Only in Diesel so a big hell NO from me! :P

But Jeremy Clarkson loves those things so they must be good.

I quite like the look but they are way too big judging by the number I see that are badly parked - more like abandoned - though this can be said of many of the big 4x4s and utes. A friend said of an XC90 (as we were waiting while the owner made their 4th attempt to park) 'The only thing missing is the bloody gun turret'.

Boooo, that's just giving into the ecomentalists!  Want petrol V8 or a turbo'd 6 pot.

Unfortunately the system has already given in to the ecomentalists.

I hope I am wrong but cars like my n/a

M5 will be museum pieces within a generation and not in a good way.

I have driven a couple XC90 diesels and these are very nice cars to drive.  I really like their active cruise control with automatically braking (not sure of the correct technical name).  As with all cars manufactures with this system, they all behave slightly different and hence it is scary to trust every system at first.

However with the Volvo system it slows down in traffic, no need to touch the brake and only need to press the accelerator to start driving again.  Perfect for traffic jam driving and cruising on the motorway.

It's a no from me,  i don't think I've ever looked at anything Vulva have made and thought "ooh, I'd like one of those"

If I was looking for a big SUV in that price bracket,  I'd  be looking at RR Sports or X5 Sports.

Not even the 850 T-5R 5 cylinder turbo job?  I fancied one of them until I found out it was wrong wheel drive.

A friend had one a few years back -

I remember him driving by one year as I was trudging 6 miles homes in the best part of 8-9" of snow having abandoned my car at the bottom of the first incline I encountered...

Thankfully he recognised me and stopped and picked me up on his way back, I was surprised as to how sure footed it was in such conditions especially as he wasn't using winter tyres...

Inside was quite a decent place to be and as with anything that large the bills could be eye watering... the gear box curled up and died, when he was touring Southern France with the family, one year while they were towing a twin axle caravan, as it was outside of warranty it cost him close on £3k to get sorted...

Nope, nothing they've ever done,  although I quite like the FH.

Yup, that was the figure I was quoted for fixing the E60 box, hence F10 now.

Had a sales rep visit today in one, he reckoned 400 odd brake and 60 in under 6 seconds !

Was a piece of kit with 21's on the lot.

Volvo are making some really nice looking cars these day IMO, a new s90 overtook me yesterday and despite being the size of a bungalow, bloody hell did it look good.

I don't think I would choose the XC90 over the Range Rover if money was no object, however, I'll bet a fully specced XC90 comes out at about the same price as a basic Range Rover Sport. I'd definately take one over an X5, the only X5 that does anything for me is a pre-facelift e53 (yes, I have got my tin hat on!).

That is nice! I think with a Volvo, you either get it or you don't. My mate had an S60 D5 a few years ago that looked very much 'old man car' but had one or two 'go faster bits' attached, it was always fun surprising people in supposedly much faster cars in it. The five cylinder engine sounded awesome too, never mind that it was a diesel! :)

That's exactly what I think of when I think of Vulvas, old mans car.
