After listening to her indoors bending my ear about things needing done, I am now home alone and sitting mesmerised watching a recording of Joe Bonamassa live at the Vienna Opera House.  WOW!  What a talented bunch of musicians.  You can watch the whole thing on youtube if you get the chance.

Kelly Lee Owens self titled album is back on again, album of the year for me last year I reckon...

And played this again while we were in France last week, a set I played 5 or 6 years ago now at a party in Javea, Spain.

I was not meant to play but the DJ was running late so I said I would have a mess around for 30 mins or so until he arrived.

Normally play more deep progressive stuff, but really liked this set and still enjoy it now.

How about Matt Monro? Remember the opening song to the original Italian Job? 'On Days Like These'.... pure class!

Hi,

You've outdone yourself there Mr Yokozuna with these last two posts! could almost forgive you for all the other crap you post ;)

Been listening to Paul Kalkbrenner for a few years now, really like his sound and production! Standout track for me is Gebrunn Gebrunn, but like a lot of his other tracks..

The video for Tomorrowland is excellent too ! I'm really loving the recent Tale of Us Renaissance Remix of Energy 52's Cafe Del Mar ! other's are also fantastic too, that Harp interlude, wow!! ...may have to get myself over for the next festival !

I've just been listening to this, tuned up the Sub level and volume too ;)

I used to love playing this track when I had TWO 18 inch Earthquake subwoofers in my E30 around 97/98 !

Cheers, Dennis!

Hi

I first started listening to music around about the time I could hear! It started with listening via a speaker then has progressed over the years to listen via smaller speakers some can call them ear phones, they where connected via a lead....

then as time progresses the speakers got larger but move powerful with the help of things called amps. They really went very loud indeed, maybe you could check them out?

In recent times the speakers have gotten smaller but are much more powerful, look at makes the likes of B&O, Sony and my personal favorite Bose. You can find all examples of these from shops and websites! But not porn website’s....

so the real question is, which sounds are the best for the application that best suits your platform and your ears?

Its a bit like the time when I was stood in the grounds of a castle and I was trying to sell a dragon! The king told me to take my wife away....

so we left the realm and set up on our own!

I know I’ve gone off topic slightly but thought it best to share....

anyway, good luck in your search for eternal life

cheers Bigjay a.k.a Yokozuna

;)

I've mainly been listening to Within Temptation today as I realised I haven't played them much recently and am seeing them in Brum next month. Got a nice metal winter set up for concerts with WT and Nightwish being the big two plus a few less well known bands in small venues. Saw Halestorm a week ago and they were epic so putting a video of theirs here as well.

Planet Home. A favourite track of mine from Jamiroquai , in a remixed stylee. And an original live version at Woodstock nearly 20 years ago.

4:06 - that heavy bass and synth!

This will NOT be to most people’s taste but it’s a super banging heavy hitting tune! 8)

*true story, I had a lock in, in a pub in the soul destroying town that I reside in  a few weeks ago, now this to most of you is probably not sounding like anything great or indeed interesting!

However, if you like a Bit of the sub genre that is beat boxing it turned into an orgy of mind bending tunes by one of the best beat boxing performers in the uk! His mate ran said pub and after kicking the cocaine sniffing Cnut’s Out of the pub he locked the doors and began pouring drinks!

I’d only found myself in the middle of a birthday celebration :D

So after a few lessons on how to beat box  (didn’t really happen for me!) and many many drinks later, I found myself leaving the pub at 5:30 in the morning!

** edit, I was that drunk the following day not even a McDonald’s could sort me out!

Something different from me. I know I mainly post metal but I am getting back into Blues Rock stuff as well at the moment. Going to see The Kris Barras Band in Bristol early next year. They have only two albums out so far but both are corkers if you like this sort of music.

Rews. They are a two girl rock group with some similarities to Halestorm. I have seen them supporting Halestorm and, recently, at a small gig at a pub in Bristol. They are lovely girls (I am not just talking physically, although they are very pretty) and do such an energetic live performance of what is best described at 'feel good rock music' that I cannot fathom why they aren't much bigger.
