Facelift Headlamp Seals

11 posts in this topic

Just a quickie ! Is there just one seal at the top and another at the bottom on facelift headlamps ?

Just ordered two for my newly acquired Xenons but not sure if I have bought the correct ones as the top one doesn't seem to fully wrap round the top of the headlight.

Pic for reference

That one clips to the top, there is another that does around the side of the lamp unit and one that goes along the bottom where the trim clips onto the lamp.

Thanks. I have ordered two top ones and two bottom ones but was sure there was something missing.

Have you got a part number or pic of the one that runs round the side ?

This is the bottom ones I have purchased.

There are no other separate sealings. The one at the outer side is part of the headlight itself.

What he said, the one round the side isnt a headlamp seal its more of a gasket between the lamp and the wing

Apologies if my thread title is confusing

It is actually the gaskets that I require only I called them seals !

Now my gaskets have arrived I seem to be missing the ones in the pics !

Hoping you can buy these separately so I will send Cotswold BMW the part number and see.

3 gaskets in total per headlight.

You can remove that gasket, just be careful not to bust the plastic tabs, then a good soak in very hot soapy water, mine came up like new when i did my adjusters.
