Service oil recommendations

Need to service my car, what are people recommending for oil these days? Im just over 131,000 miles now

Any flavour of oil will do as long as it meets LLO4 oil.

 

If it doesn't meet LL04 do not pour it into your sump.

^thats a good offer, but I think you will need atleast 5.5 litres in your sump so you will need to buy two or source another litre from somewhere.

I need two my car takes 7.5 litres of oil.

I think it's actually Mobil oil. I've done over 100k miles using this oil and it's excellent.

I believe you a right it is Mobil oil. I was a Vauxhall technician many years ago and this oil was always well respected then.

GM looks a good bet then, i used millers XF longlife on my last service which was quite highly recommended at the time, do people still regard it as a good oil?

There's no one best brand out the usual decnt few. Mobil 1, Castrol, Millers, Fusch, Liqui Moly, Motul.

 

Find whats cheapest.

Stuck with millers XF longlife c3 again, 6litres from demon tweeks for £35 :)
