E39 m5 anti roll bar upgrade?

22 posts in this topic

Does anyone do a front and rear upgrade kit that actually fits?

I've heard the eibach front is for a 540 and doesn't fit properly?

Also dinan don't do front anymore just rear?

I have a square setup 9.5j all round so recommended I do both not just rear.

I have adjustable anti roll bar links so that can help abit

My M5 came with a front/rear eibach ARB installed, part number for the kit looks to be 2054.320 from a quick search.  The only other part number listed for it seems to be for 6 cylinder models.

There's no fitment issues on mine and the bushes sit correctly in the mounts.  I can get a part number off the front ARB this weekend if needed?

I have the Eibach bars too, fitted the rear on it's own but removed it as i didn't like it, might be better when I fit the front as well, as far as I'm aware there is a bolt you have to grind the corner off for clearance but I have not done the job myself yet so it's still hearsay.

Yes can't see any apparent fitment issues.  You have to lower the subframe on the front I believe to fit it. Looks like the original arb brackets are used too.

Yes from looking online this comes with bushes in the kit. Couldn't 100% confirm though. I've read they're red poly bushes that are supplied.

It would appear a tab needs grinding on the Subframe to make the bar fit.

Just in the living room lol it just hits the Subframe so I'm gonna need to modify the Subframe a little. Nothing major tho

Sorted it's bolted up now without the need to grind anything even tho I started to grind (dipshit)

It's very very close to the lower arm bolts, 1mm clearance Max......

I powdercoated my subframe with impact primer and the powercoat and everything was extra thick so made fitting a ball ache I will get some pics.

I had Kelleners front and rear anti-roll bars fitted on my old e39 M5 which were made by Eibach.

I had mine fitted at Kelleners on a Ring trip so no fitment issues.

cheers
