No Alpina on real OEM

Recommended Posts

Tried putting the last 7 digits of my Alpina B10 v8s into real oem and it comes up as a 325i with M50 engine???

Also no option of searching Alpina models manually

If you can find the original crossed out VIN, that will get you the basics, and there's always the B10 part catalogue for the Alpina specific bits.

This is a B10 V8 catalogue, although I'm not sure if it covers the V8S's

As mentioned above

Realmoem only recognises your BMW VIN (on the windscreen or the crossed out VIN in the engine bay), and will only provide information on the BMW base car - meaning before ALPNA changed the car.

Therefore any ALPINA specific parts then the above catalogue lists them.  The catalogues are not prefect, but on the whole, they are fairly accurate

The ALPINA VIN can provide a car, motorbike, or nothing on realmoem

Thanks. The catalogue is useful.

Why on page 20 does it list normal 540i front hubs and M5 front hubs for the v8s???

V8S uses M5 Hubs ( and dust/splash shields)

Us V8 chappies (who couldn't afford the V8S) have to accept the 540 based braking system so we drive a little slower than the V8S fellows.

Are you 100% sure?

But the 540i and M5 hubs are listed for the v8s?

Isn't the difference between 540i and M5 hubs only that the M5 has two holes for brake disc retaining screws?

And locating lugs for the disc?
