Likewise I store logs in my garage loft to dry out and the bits of crud fall off and go over what ever is underneath which is where I store my wheels.

Where do you get your logs from?

The tree right behind the greenhouse has just been felled; so that's all been split down and seasoning for next year

There's quite a few trees that are dead-standing and ones that have been felled from previous years that I'm just cutting bits off when needed etc... ;)

Chinese LED boot bulb arrived. Let's hope it works unlike 10 LED downlighters I bough recently, none of which worked.

I ordered some Chineese LED bulbs for my F10, now worked, then a set from Horizon LED's, 3 weeks ago that are not here....

Just popped mine in, works fine. Two person job though getting the old unit unclipped though! One to pull the wire, one to hold the old unit and depress the tab.

These were 12 from amazon (vice Hong Kong) I tried all 20 in 4 known working positions in my car, all dead. I got a refund, just waiting for the next set.

Thought you'd bought a pickup.

That has to be the fanciest bike rack I've ever seen, my main concern would be how easy is it to steal?

That is a concern. The bike rack is locked to the towbar. The Cargo Box is then strapped to the bike rack and you put a clamp lock on the straps to prevent someone loosening them and stealing the cargo box. You could always just cut the straps I suppose. Once at my destination I have the use of a lock up garage so the only time it will be vulnerable will be at the overnight stop en-route. We did test it today and the box will fit exactly on the back seat so we'll remove it from the rack and lock it in the car.

Well, I suppose it has practical value, but aesthetically it doesn't do much for the car!

Yep, but I'm driving so won't be looking at the car's butt plus we'll be able to transport all of the skiing paraphernalia with ease. ;)

News flash, Matthew Ashton has now opened up his own removals firm.

Can you open the tailgate when the box is mounted on the towbar or does it swivel down to allow the tailgate to open?

It would be useful when going on holidays.....

Yep, it tilts away from the car allowing clear access to the hatch.

Is there a rated speed one can travel with such a unit on the rear of the car?

I would not like to see my snowboarding gear overtaking me when I need to slow down.

Thule reckon 130 kph so I'll be sticking to 120kph in France. I've had 3 bicycles on the back at 70mph with no stability issues at all.

New led under door fitted. Cheap and looks good imo :P

I’m on my second set of these. The first ones faded after about a year. This second set give off an annoying buzz which I’ve yet to diagnose, but they look great!

yeh they do look good. I also get buzz sound when door is opened, but not noticeable unless try really hard to hear it. When i first fitted them my instrument cluster stopped working, worried me, maybe i short circuited somet???...but after 5 mins driving and getting back into the car from a stop on the shops on route, the cluster started to work fine again.

Did the full service this morning at 93,436 miles. All filters + engine oil.

Checked the timing chain noise and sounds good. Should last another 200,000 B)

What a nice way to spend a Sunday morning. It's always very satisfying doing things like that on the car yourself.

Was that a service kit if some description as all the boxes look from the same manufacturer?
