Hi I'm new on here, just thought I'd say hello, seems I'd signed up ages ago but not been taking advantage of the forum!!!

Pictures a bit old now, I don't use the car for work anymore.

Tons, drilled and grooved discs all round, refurbished the alloys (need doing again lol) I've got a genuine matching M5 spare alloy, M5 badges, mirrors, front grill, door sills, rear view mirror, full stainless quad exhaust system including manifold and racing cats, still loads to do but only had her a year! I bought private plate as well, had the rear lights professionaly sprayed (keeping them legal) didn't have the tints when I bought the car, I'll see if I can find the pics I took when I bought it.

Car was basically standard when I bought it apart from wheels, but they were desperate for a refurb and it only had standard sport spare alloy, I have that going spare if anyone would be interested, has a near new tyre, rims is in good condition but has a small Very repairable dent on the inside but drives fine, can post pictures if anyone's interested?

...... It does have M5 wing mirrors? And got the switches and modules to make the fold as the car didn't have folding mirrors when I bought it. And M5 rear view mirror. At min don't think I've missed anything out to make it look like a genuine M5?

Yer I know they never made an E39 M5 estate but unless you know your beemers it's a very convincing lookalike, and with a family and dog, a saloon wasn't an option for me sadly. Cars pritty good but needs a lot of bodywork sorting and a full respray to give it a new lease of life but have to wait a couple years before I can do that. Don't doing mechanical and performance stuff first. At the end of the day I'd rather it drive well than look good.

Next big mod is going to be engine and gearbox remapping by a specialist, £780 including rolling road print out etc.

It looks very nice and you have clearly put a lot of work in. I would consider writing this all up into a decent project thread.

hi good looking touring there  henry >>>  fwiw  there was one real e39 m5 touring made see my sig for link, i have seen a touring around the ipswich area with twins on and i know there are a few ways to this end  bumper melter for 1 so  which version are you running ?  as i keep mulling this one over (to do or not)

there will all ways be diffences of opinion on foriums as to weather its right or wrong to alter such things   my personal opinion is they look the dogs nuts and at the end of the day its your / our  choice.  any way welcome  maybe you could make the kings lynn meeting in a couple of week so i can have a looky under the rear end

so far i have done folding electric mirrors and electric and heated seats + electric column + memory  (bit of a mission) but thats another story

Mine is as you think, tucked under the rear diffuser, can't really do it any other way without cutting out the bottom of the car, I wrapped the rear section with heavy duty heat wrap stuff so should be ok, time will tell, can get double diffuser off eBay for £60. How often do you guys meet, could be worth a trip sometime!

Again everything is personal choice, I'd prefer to keep my manual seats cos there heated and save weight over the electronic ones I'm sure!
