I've had @iiNNeX here today for a remap and DPF tweak. Got that bit done and our of the way and then went for a drive! Gotta say what a guy and his car is lovely! A complete credit to him. I don't envy his 3 hour drive home though!

That's me dude yes. I'm between Chester and Liverpool. I've got some better photos of it somewhere, the camera has made that look too dark!

What's with the evil eyes  ?

They look mental, but what have you done with your dipped/main beam?

And get on and sort those rattles out - the 200 miles I covered yesterday were much more enjoyable :)

Cheers,

Nick

It was a £40 optional extra from the company building them. They can also do multi colour ones that you can set yourself with a remote control, but that was £150 to add on. The colour is just completely drowned out when the headlights are on, it's only visible with sidelights and can be switched off on its own anyway I believe. They're being made as bi-xenon lights from standard halogens. They'll come with HIDs in.

The company building them can do some real mad shit though, custom etching on the lenses etc like these. These are quad xenons for an E60, etched lenses, the full works. My angel eyes are going to look like the bottom picture though.

Used my E61 525D pre LCI to collect 5 x 4.2metre lengths of gravel board for fence , not so much an estate , more a luxury covered pickup!!  Earlier this week had auto box oil & filter & engine oil & filter changes.

Also need to sort out fault code 4501 - EGR air mas too high.  Other faults have not returned after clearing but sure 5 of 6 glowplugs open circuit will return when it gets colder.

Readout showed nothing in error memory for box, seems to drive a little smoother. Not getting the jolting change down if almost stopped then accellerate away , even gently, that I often got.  Probably only done 50 or so miles since. Total mileage is only 102K - now hoping for many more. Planning to fit a tow bar in near future & will replace a faulty reverse /PDC sensor while bumper is off.

Good to hear - think I need to do it too, for the jolt issue and for some hesitancy/reluctance to change gear. 114k so probably overdue anyway.

A couple of dodgy pdc to sort as well, again!

Well you have all cursed me. Dropped my little lad of at his mum's today got back in the car wouldn't start. I poo poo you not car been in my possession 24 hours and it brakes down. Not only does it brake down it does it at the end of my exes drive. Not the best luck I guess. Spoke to the bloke who sold it to me and got to say he's been straight up. I got it recovered to a local BMW specialist so just need to wait for them to open in the morning. Not the best start to my life back in a BMW but we shall see.
