  1. Hi, Hoping to seek some advice from you friendly people :-) I have a F11 3.0 525d to change the brakes. I need to replace the front discs and pads, rear pads inc. sensors and a brake fluid change. I have been quoted £720 from the main dealer on the older car parts prices using genuine parts. A nearby BMW specialist has quoted virtually the same so is a no brainer there. I have taken it to an independent garage near my work who has quoted me £420 for the same work but using Delphi front discs and Brembo front/rear pads. My question is, is this a good set up? I have to admit I have never heard of Delphi discs and looking at their prices online do seem rather cheap compared to Brembo discs etc, are they up to the job and do they last? Pretty sure my car is on the original ones so looking for longevity as I intend to keep the car for some years yet. Is it best to bite the bullet and use genuine parts? The dealer quoted me £500 just for the parts. Advice will be most welcome as I don't really know which way to turn. TIA
