Thanks for the insight. Massive help. Be a few months yet. But like I say it’s hard to look at cars and have no idea which to even think at looking at. I’m thinking 530d E61. Just got to find the right one.

Massive help cheers. It could be a few months yet. But it’s always good to talk to owners.

Why would you opt for petrol and manual? I’m going to be doing the miles so I figured a 3L Diesle would be best option. There’s so many variants that it’s a minefeild.

Why did you decide to go for the 535 as opposed to the 525 or 530? what made you sell?

To be honest no. It was in the middle of the heat wave, so was hard to wash it, without it drying instantly. So just used some rapid detailed at a show and it came up really good. what have you got then if I’m to avoid the awful to look at e60/61?

Sadly no pictures of the clio. As it’s undergoing an alternator transplant, a bumper transplant, an exhaust transplant, and whatever I find that the sodding French have bodged on.

Good afternoon, I'm Chris and I'm from Preston and I'm hopeful of owning a E60/E61 in the not too distant future. I currently have a mk4 R32 golf which is my pride and joy, and I own a track prepped Clio 182 which is where I'm hoping you can help! I'm due to change jobs from 1st December where I am going to be doing 100 mile round trip to and from work so I'm after something that's better than 25mpg! What I want to know is which is the best option to go for when looking for a 5 series. I want an estate as I intend to use it to tow my track car, so the real question is which is the best model to go for that's good to tow a car on a trailer and which is pretty good on fuel. The 3L diesel m-sport have caught my eye, but as ive no idea where to start when it comes to them I figured your the best people to talk to and hopefully point my in the right direction. Thanks in advance, and thanks for reading all that and helping me.
