  1. The Bovee (first one) is basically a re-branded tune2air, which in previous posts has been confirmed not to work. The last one has reviews that mention tune2air too.. it would seem from a quick google search that this is perhaps the latest incarnation of the bovee products? Perhaps worth a try to see if they've fixed the issues previously experienced with the Bovee and the tune2air
  2. Mini Cooper S - Auto fold mirrors and DRL

Thanks Richard, I wasn't able to get the lights to turn on or off using your command examples Attached is a log I was able to take where I think I can see the commands for the lights. I switched on the parking lamps, low beams and high beams. The high beams include the rally lights I wasn't able to change behaviour when entering these commands as well. I can see commands like 3F in the log but this seems to come at the end, rather than the start? To confirm, Pushing a command through intravee means having the downloader running in expert mode, with ibusd on and typing (pasting) in the command in the same console as the one spitting out the logs? 3. Following on from this, I decided to take some logs. In order to spot differences between what works and what doesn't I took a log from the T2AS while connected in my car vs an ipod Dock I have lying around (that works with the T2AS) When connected to the car (with Intravee and Alpine KCA-420i) The log I got is here When connected to my old iPod dock, the log I took is here Unlike when hooked up to the iPod dock, I never see a "got OK response" line when connected to the Intravee and KCA-420i. I took an iBUS log at the same time as I was testing to the T2AS here I can't really make any heads or tails of the iBus commands. Does anyone know of a tool or lookup I can use to make sense of them? The big unkown now is why the Intravee doesn't recognise an ipod is connected and why the T2AS doesn't receive a response. Has anybody on this thread faced similar issues with their custom solutions?
  4. Hi Richard, I've taken an IBUS log on my Mini Cooper S (R53) while performing a Fold and Unfold of the mirrors. If you can see the command in there, is this something that could be supported by the Intravee? I'm also quite keen to get Day Running Lights working. What actions would you think I should need to perform to get the IBUS Commands necessary? Do things like switching on dipped lights and full beam get transmitted through IBUS? Hugely thankful as always for all your help and support! 5. An update from my endeavours so far. To summarise, I'm trying to get the intravee to work with a bluetooth adapter and support AVRCP 1.3 in my Mini Cooper S - almost exactly like OP I bought @timmyt'sTune2AirSucks (code & board here) Also resolved an issue where the device wasn't getting enough power (KCA-420i power mod required as noted by @RichardP earlier in this thread. Incidentally, RichardP also very kindly performed the mod for me) I can get the phone to pair with the T2AS but the Intravee doesn't recognise an ipod is connected. The intravee still works with my iPhone wired in and I've tested the T2AS several times with an old ipod dock I have here at home. So each device works fine in isolation. Has anyone managed to get the T2AS code working with an intravee yet? What next steps would people recommend I take to try and find where the issue lies?
  6. KCA-420i wake-up mod

Hey Richard, Are you still offering to do these mods? I had a go.. and frankly, I seriously over-estimated my rusty skills with a soldering iron! I might have damaged the board a bit, but do you think (by looking at the photo) that this is salvageable? If so, and if you're still happy to do it, could you pass me your details?
  7. That looks pretty cool. Nice job! Would love to know how your testing goes once completed!
  8. That's also my understanding, LeoE at least for the Tune2Air WMA1000. The Tune2Air WMA2000/WMA3000 adapters don't seem to have been tested by anyone on this thread yet as these don't have 30pin female connections and at least I, personally, am yet to find a cable/adapter that can bridge them. I got the intravee working as a wired test (I have a mini so it's not far to go from the boot of the car!) to my iPhone. All I needed was a 5v 30 pin adapter. Presumably you'll need a 30pin female to micro usb male adapter in addition - Make sure this supports audio. I can tell you having tired it that the Cablejive Dockboss5 is useless with the KC420i.
  9. Thanks timmyt - that would be fantastic I'll PM you my details
  10. You were spot on Johnny - Despite the description, the cablejive dockboss5 doesn't work. It wouldn't even charge with the alpine kca 420i. While it did charge in an old ipod dock, remote controls didn't work. Got a refund with Amazon. @RichardP Just wanted to say a huge thank you for keeping this project going - the Intravee itself works flawlessly! I had such a massive goonard smile on my face as I got Spotify playing through For now, I'll be continuing to look for and test other adapters. If any of the "custom solution makers" out there have something they'd like to sell or test, please count me in & get in touch!
  11. Problem Updating Firmware

    Thanks - rookie error!
  12. Problem Updating Firmware

My Intravee has just arrived and I'm also having the same issue - I'm using COM3 which is definitely correct as per device manager. Does the intravee need to be connected to another source of power or is the COM port enough?
  13. Best of luck with this - certainly count me in a a guinea pig! I would also be happy to help try and resolve bugs in any code.
  14. Thanks timmyt, For the moment as the WMA1000 appears to be quite buggy, I'm keen to try out the later tune2Air devices (If I can source the right kind of adapters) or a custom made solution by one of the folks on the thread. I'll be reporting back with any findings on the stuff I try out!
  15. Thanks for the heads up on the Ricco Johnny - I'm glad I checked here first! The Cablejive page seems to make some bold claims regarding controls. I take your point on poor understanding and cheap manufacturing though!
