  1. Best polish for white paint?

Being a new car i wouldn't polish, Clay bar would get rid of the rough feel from the paint. I would then follow it up with a sealant such as Autoglym extra gloss protection, followed by waxing. Polish tends to remove swirl marks on paint by removing a small layer of paint. (if you do decide to do this i suggest doing this after clay bar, before sealant.
  2. Over zealous safety device when reversing?

Just tried this, it seems like it only goes in to park when you completely let go of the brake pedal, having my seat belt on/off didn't seem to make a difference.
  3. Heavy rain, Water leak

Hi all I have had a few private emails in regards to the yellow grommet. I have left the original grommet in place but have sealed it with epoxy from the out side. This can be done by removing the engine cover and the cover in front of the grommet, i am assuming the purpose of the grommet was to keep water out as long as it had some where to flow. so far so good no more leaks and carpet seems to have dried out. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Milliput-Epoxy-Resin-Putty-Standard-Terracotta-Grey-Black-Superfine-White-/160899355188?var=&hash=item2576595234:m:mM8dbsI2lhVof1_JbLnR9Dg

  8. Heavy rain, Water leak

I had a go on the weekend trying to figure out where the leak was coming from. Started by taking the glove box out and could see water dripping as shown in the video above. So looked around and found lots of leaves wedged near the air vent intake, i ended up taking a full carrier bags worth of leaves and muck with a long screwdriver and vacuum. Hoping this was the cause but no, still wet. anyone no where the air con drain pipe is located, possibly blocked?
  9. Heavy rain, Water leak

Well played around today, i put some tissue paper in between the door and door sill, and sprayed the door and surrounding areas with a pressure washer for 5 minutes. tissue paper was dry, Did the same again all over the car and it was still dry, door sill/vapour barrier is not the issue. I did however stumble upon this, and will be trying the above video on the weekend to see if i can spot a leak and fix it, unfortunately no warranty thanks

  11. Hi, I was hoping someone could help, i currently have a F10 520d which has been leaking water in the rear passenger side footwell, i cant seem to find where it is coming from. The sides of the footwell are all dry the top of the floor mat is dry so im assuming it is comming from underneath the car. Any idea? I have no sunroof and all seals on the door seem fine thanks in advance
