  1. Update 17 July 2017 Flat battery Recently had a flat battery. Kinda strange seeing as I only had the driver side door open for about 10 min. Following on from thatvthe convenience opening function via the fob stopped working. Ie Windows and sunroof open/close via fob After some Google searches I managed to figure out that the 1 touch windows need to be reset for the above function to start working as it should. All In all abit of a faff but got there in the end. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  2. Update 11 July 2017 Here in sunny Birmingham we have had a fair bit of rain over the last couple of days, perfect opportunity to check if the roof drains are functional. Happy to report YES there are. It's a relief to be more unwanted water leaking in to the cabin. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  3. A friend is interested in it. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  4. I haven't really done much to be fair. Been busy with work. The drain issue was on the priority list seening as we are partial to abit of rain lol Audi are currently offering a "free health check" im going to book one if and when I get round to doing it. Thanks Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  5. As some may know I recently purchased an A8. The Audi fourm is kinda quite so I thought I'd start a ownership thread here. It's a 2005 A8L 4.0 TDI D3 Currently has 107k My list of things to do is as follows Diagnose why keyless entry and keyless start don't work. Likewise why the rear headrests screen don't work. Update software for the mmi and possibly update the nav Bigger rims ideally 20s of w11 or alternatively 19s le mans To date I have addressed the issue with the blocked sunroof drains. It was pretty straight forward and now work a treat! Video of YouTube on how to clear blocked drains Thanks Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

  7. Been busy hence the lack of updates. So I had a brief conversation with my solicitor and to sum up I have decided not to pursue this any further simply because of the reasons I mentioned above. I will name and shame this trader purely in a attempt to warn others of possible issue post sale. Personally I'd avoid at all cost. But should someone consider buying from them then I'd advise to approach with caution as the face to face/phone conversation sales talk is on point but like in my case the after sale service diologe is none existent! I was given the run around by their "sales guy Paul" and likewise was never contact by their "operations manager" I spoke to Mike Neal him self ie the owner and director who was quite simply unwilling to do anything, unhelpful and straight up lied in regards to the issue raised in his response to the solicitor. The Show Room Horsefair, PONTEFRACT, West Yorkshire, WF8 1RF Mike Neal select #mike Neal select #dodgy trader #avoid mike Neal select I'd ask anyone reading this to share on other fourms they may be apart of and likewise social media to warn others of the pit falls they may stray into using mike Neal select. Thanks guys for all the advice and information Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

  9. My initial intention was this but after seeing how dishonest these bunch are I'd be wasting time and money. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  10. I completely agree with you. It's hard to believe they didn't know of the issue such as keyless entry and keyless start etc. The water leaking I could give them the benifit for. The passenger wheel had not 1 but 2 nails in it! Again hard to believe they didn't know this. The leaking roof is clogged drains from what I have managed to find out from fourms. And it's a pretty straight fix. Hopefully Millage isn't the end of the world but seeing it was a deciding factor for me simple form a resale point of view. I've decided to keep the car and have the issue addressed over time as I do like it. The trader is a complete waste and hope they get theirs soon. It amazes me how they have lied through their teeth otter waste of air Personally it's the first time I used a trader as I have always been sceptical of them and know once bitten twice shy is my mind set. 11. Would love a f11 but budget doesn't all it. Audi A8L Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  12. By the sounds of it the trader you bought yours off seems like a genuine guy. To date the guy I bought mine off have done little to try and rectify the issue I raised . Personally I don't want to let it go and for them to get away with it...but weighing it up its the only thing I can do do minimise any further loss of money and time. Hence I said I'll put it down as a lesson learnt. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  13. Funny enough that was the car I took to France. I liked the car but not a fan of the e60. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  14. I'm currently considering to call it a day and put it down to a lesson learnt. Chop it in and get something else Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  15. Quick update. The traders official reply to the letter sent via the solicitor outlining the issue and millage discrepancy. He claims the vehicle had none of the mentioned issue upon sale and the millage discrepancy was not a issue as a discount was given for it at the time of sale. He hasn't explained the leaking roof tho. The guys lying through his teeth! The discount was basically me haggling the price after having been assured by them the car was sound. At no point during the sale did they mention any of the faults. My mate who picked up the car for what ever reason didn't pick up on the issue's and in regards to the millage he assumed it was what it was on the vehicle. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
