  1. If you've already got an AA membership then you could call it in for recovery. Where up the A1 you heading? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Yeah just plod along. The ECU should protect the car by putting it into limp mode if there's an issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. And no mention of the EGR stat anywhere. In many cases the main thermostat is capable of getting the coolant above 75 degrees but if the EGR stat is weak then the regen can also have issues. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Personally I can't see how glow plugs are needed for the regen. They are used to warm the cylinders pre starting on a cold engine. Once the engine is running they've served their purpose. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I think the main consideration is the preservatives used in the oil. A different oil mix could effectively eat at the clutch plates instead of protecting them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Great work fella. Forum link not working for me either. Maybe this thread needs to be a sticky on the "Coding" board. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. It wasn't a risk I was willing to take. I'd stick with the oil that is tried and tested with the ZF box. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. A quick google says that this isn't on the LCI, only the pre LCI models. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I've never noticed that dashed line moving before. Is it on all E60/E61 engine types? I'll take a look on mine later. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. What's this bit about the rev counter outer moving? I've seen a few people mention it. Any pics/vids? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Great work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. So will 50 degrees be 50mpg? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. If you do work it out please rewrite the instructions in understandable English as the translation on that German website is confusing me! Also, what gauge is it that he has in the pic? It's not mpg like we have. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Well originally I thought something must be loose and moving about but after the brake squeal the other day my suspicions were directed at the brakes. I'll get it checked and report back. Thanks for the input guys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Temperature gun arrived yesterday so I checked the temps of my discs this morning. All were around 18-19 degrees after parking up. I heard the clunking a few times this morning though. Heard it during a turn on a roundabout and also when hitting a bump. No idea what's going on. Will need to get under the car or drop it off at my specialist. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
