  1. Well I failed! I wanted a premium brand again and I ended up going with the the Contact Sport 2 as the 5 wasn't readily available and the choice of 275/30/19 was poor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Time for new tyres for me. The Conacts 6 lasted 15000 miles on the rear which I didn't think was too bad but I think I'll look for something with a slightly better wear rate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I like to replace the fuel filter on every service as it doesn't cost much. I've done this on every car I've owned. L Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. You're doing oil changes every 5k miles? Blimey! I'd be doing an oil change every 10 weeks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. So what's next? What will the fuel pump and injectors do before they need upgrading? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. It's the same with all cars. There becomes a point where a decision needs to be made to fix and sell before the next issue, or plough on regardless and end up with a well looked after car that's cost a bit to maintain. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Hats off that man. You got info to what you've done to your motor anywhere? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Spotted today. Looked lovely in white. Anyone from here? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I'm quite enjoying this series without Evans. The chemistry will come. I'm sure if you went back and watched the first series that Clarkson, Hammond, and May did together it was much the same. The Nurburgring feature was a bit of fun. I'm driven the ring a lot and you always see super cars cruising. Why would you risk binning an expensive car?! Sabine was brought up driving that track and as we know she can get a transit round in under 10 mins so it was nothing to do with the new Golf GTI. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. The Jag models that use the exact same ZF box have a service schedule in the book I believe. It's only BMW that couldn't be arsed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. In the real world for 99% of drivers an LSD is pointless and this is why manufactures only put them in their top performance models. Cost is king. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Oh dear. Find somewhere else to do the service mate. I think half the problem is when poorly advised garages pass on this info to the customer. The way my BMW specialist put it to me was "if the gearbox oil is supposed to be for life, why have ZF given the gearbox a drain and fill hole." Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. A gradual decline of power is never really noticed till you have the car fixed and it's like bloody hell, how did I not realise something was wrong. Turbo cars are a joy hey! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I'll be needing some new rears soon. Nearly had the Conti 5's on for a year and 14k miles. They've been great tyres but I think I'll look for something with a slightly better wear rate. I'll have a quick scout through some tyres on here: http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/ I've heard good things about the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 so am swaying towards them at the moment. Have a look at the Accelera PHI on there and read the tyre tests. Makes for interesting reading Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
