    ok so got round to checking, its dead (the bulb) what type of bulbs are they and has anyone replaced with a whiter colour, as above it looks awful

    So i have this error on the Vehicle info section, however all bulbs are working and i can see the adaptive lights moving, so unsure whats failed

    Decoke - walnut £291.66 +vat Replace glow plugs £113 +vat (no labour as everythings already removed for decoke) Replace Glow plug controller £110 +vat (no labour as everythings already removed for decoke) Replace EGR Valve - £190.00 + Vat Oil / Filter Service - £58.34 +vat £915 all in with vat not to bad i think as must be some work removing inlet etc..

    So i put it into a specialist i found just around the corner from me near Newcastle. Both M Technicians that branched off from local dealership, great lads unsure if i can post link ? Decoke - walnut Replace glow plugs Replace Glow plug controller Replace EGR Valve Oil / Filter Service Have asked for before & after pics of the decoke, will post up

    530d 2010 f10, had a look today tbh couldnt even get the electrical connections to seperate from the i take wtf not seen connectors like those

    so i have been doing around 1k miles a week for the past 8 weeks, the car has been faultless for the past 2.5 years, there was no loss of power. Luckily i happend to have a code reader in the boot and that produced code "P046c", looking that up came up the below post https://www.obd-codes.com/p046c pretty handy with a spanner, so my plan was to take off the EGR valveand either De-coke (the old fashioned way rather than with sprays) Block off with a solid gasket - (unsure if this will produce EML also) So next question, does the code seem right & anyone have a how to? quick googling suggests that the EGR is water cooled? TIA

    for those deciding whether or not to change & waste 6-7mm tread i did this for my fronts, not regretting it at all. however for those looking to go 50/50, i went rears first and the car was not great found allot more steering input needed. I did rears first.

    WOW, like a different car.... no longer does it feel like im driving over cobbles lol the most impressive thing is the difference in road noise. anyone else done the same ?
