  7. Thanks for the reply, do you know where i can buy the plug from? ive searced online but cant find one. i know they come with amps but as i never needed to use mine before theyve disappeared. its the square four pin plug isnt it that normally comes with the amps? guessing they might only come with amps and not able to buy seperate? Thanks again! Darrell
  8. Hi, I have searched on here and online but cant find much information about them. I know they aren't the best option for adding a sub and amp to the audio system, but currently i don't want to change my standard headunit as I have a decent Alpine headunit but since moving i seem to have lost it . So I begrudge paying out for a new headunit right now in hopes of finding my other headunit. So in the mean time desperate for some bass I have been looking at these line level converters. Particularly this one: http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/phonocar-5-142-line-level-converter-inc-remote Now is this a cheap temporary option for some bass and im also guessing that the remote feed from the converter would wire straight to the amp instead of taking a ignition feed from elsewhere in the car? The ICE i currently have to add is an Alpine MRP-M500 amp and an Alpine Type R 12" subwoofer. Woukd this be a good temp option or am i better off just dealing with standard for now and upgrading as and when i can? Any help and advice is appreciated! My car is a 2003 E39 Sport Touring with a standard business tape player with cd changer in the boot. Thanks Darrell
  9. I had my car tracked not long after I bought it as all five, yes five tyres were worn on the inner edge, how the previous owners thought it was acceptable to just ignore the problem or not know otherwise to get the tracking checked is beyond me. It used to wheel spin constantly and under steer like crazy to the point it was dangerous and if it was wet out it would aquaplane whenever it saw a puddle. I took it to a company in Harlow, Essex called Perfect Touch who fitted new tyres and tracked the car up, and it feels so much better to drive now and I'm not scared to drive it anymore.
