  1. I was in BMW today the 640 GC is absolutely massive!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. You make a blunt but valid point[emoji12] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Is anyone experienced with Vauxhall's or diagnostics, fancy offering your thoughts?? My van is a 2008 Vauxhall Corsa 1.3 CDTi 126k Miles. Fault: Car cut out when it was idling nicely after some recent engine repair work. Fault Codes Stored: - P0380 Glow Device Circuit Open Circuit P2146 Capacitor Voltage 1 Low Voltage P0087 Rail Pressure Low Pressure P1625 Main Relay Output Voltage Low Symptoms: - Fuel Pump cannot be heard priming at all. When cycling the key to start position it does not always engage the starter motor. Maybe 1 in 10 cycling of the key will get the starter moving like the ignition switch is faulty. Being rough with key helps. With live to the starter it spins perfectly. Compression is good, fires up and idles nicely on easy start. Timing appears perfect as all timing tools line up correctly. When using Op-Com to view live data in PCM there is no voltage reading shown, however in all other ECU’s the voltage is recorded accurately. Whilst there is no obvious water ingress into the PCM it is in the most ridiculous position!! I would really appreciate any pointers with the fault. Thanks Owen[emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Had chance to work on the car today made some progress on the faults with more found for tomorrow. New Glow plug controller and replaced two of the plugs. **Those who tackle this with the inlet manifold on are quite frankly heroes!! Lost two M7 nuts in the process [emoji107] muppet!! Replaced all the crispy vacuum hoses, cleaned inlet out again, EGR and its throttle controller. Changed the wonky injector!! Found a leaking main thermostat seal. **Second Gates unit to fail to seal after a few months. I will check the cooling system more thoroughly and buy a genuine tomorrow. Found both front track Rods seized solid in the rod ends, no amount of heat would budge them. Have the parts to replace tomorrow and will align it. Battery is still required, has anyone moved from AGM to flooded? Wondering if the AGM is essential. Happy Days Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Hello, thank you for the quote. Could I check that the battery is an AGM? I will give you a call tomorrow. Owen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Hello Again, Please could you provide me some quotes for the following for a 2006 535d Vin B892450 1xDiesel Injector - 7792096 Main Battery - Currently have an AGM 95A 850Cca fitted. Main Thermostat Glow plug controller Thank you for your help Owen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Little update Smooth/rough control issue are present due to correction values for cylinder 2 being through the roof at idle. Which would explain crap idle and unburnt diesel stench[emoji23] Best place to acquire an injector please?! Battery is being charged correctly when engine running but promptly discharges if you leave the boot open/ignition on for a short period with engine off. Best way to test an AGM battery? Standard drop tester adequate to condemn it? Thanks O Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. You may be onto something here sir ... Does it flag a code just for low temps? I have sadly fitted a gates main stat, it's the 2nd gates one due to sealing issues on first. On monitoring yesterday coolant temperatures were 97-103. Balls! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks for your advice, my aim is to get into DIS this morning and check smooth running and DPF data. I think the evidence is stacking up for a new AGM battery. I have some time off in two weeks I will get inlet manifold off change vacuum lines and test/change Glow plug parts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Hello Everyone, I was hoping to gain some advice from the experts[emoji12]Have a few ideas below. The car is a 2006 137k miles, regularly serviced and almost all preventative maintenance carried out. Car is not as smooth or quiet is it has been on a cold start up, performance appears normal and mpg is well... crap as expected!! 10 minute scan on inpa revealed the following misdemeanours... P2620 Throttle position output circuit open. New throttle unit required or is a rebuild kit any good? Been there a while and consistent with shudder on turning off. 4212 Glow plug cylinder 1 Control 4232 Glow plug cylinder 3 Control 4242 Glow plug cylinder 4 Control- these codes have been consistent so perhaps the time for a controller and test plugs ? 4B90 Rail Pressure Monitoring at engine start. - I will look at this in live data in a variety of start up situations. 4185 Exhaust engine temperature sensor before Cat Signal. 4D00 Exhaust impression sensor. 480A System of particle filter - I will revisit last regent and check live data on DPF's condition. Assuming exhaust codes be related? P1278 Engine smoothness Control correction quantity too high. Perhaps an injector out of spec, I will check live data and put a leak off tester on it. Could be Time for all vacuum lines to be changed and some boost pipes show early signs of oily leaking from seals. 4A66 Power management Bordnet - Possibly IBS ? I have discharge message regularly when working on the car. Any help very much appreciated Owen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. One of many of my scruffy old datsun's that with a few grand turned into extremely fun animals[emoji12] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Car is standard M Sport ride height. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I should have mentioned it's not my first attempt at arch rolling albeit not on anything as nice as my E60. Background in low wide skidding Nissans! The tyres are now closer to being flush but I would appreciate a bit more. 15mm spacers front and 25mm rear are ok I will get a few pictures. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I have the oem 19" spiders I am unsure on the width or offset. I bought the arch roller so I will have a go on the weekend. My aim was to carefully flatten the internal lip and protect paintwork. Will check the arches are not full of filler first[emoji12] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Hello everyone, Recently increased from 20mm to 25mm spacers to the rear of my 535d m sport saloon to improve the look. Unfortunately there is a smidgen of rubbing on 19" spiders with large passengers and a fast roundabout! I am simply looking to flatten the inner lip this weekend to give me a few mm's. Any help appreciated O Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
