  1. I'll try and get to the Indy tomorrow and see what they say. What's the remedy for a coolant leak into the egr?
  2. Hi guys, This is actually an F01 but the same N57 engine so thought I'd ask here if anyone experienced similar... Driving up the road the other day and started to smell smoke. Thought it was the car infront then further along I realised it was coming out of my circulation vents. I pulled over and popped the bonnet and it seems to be coming from the dip stick at the rear of the engine bay (passenger side). Taking the filler cap off showed some smoke coming out of that (white). Not loads of it but enough to think, is that normal? I then drove home. Performance is as normal and no issues. About 6 miles later the yellow engine dash light came on. Got home and loaded up ISTA and read the fault codes generated which are as follows: 24CE00 - Hot film air mass meter: ratio of measured to calculated air mass too high also... 290900 - Air system, air to egr mass flow, plausibility: measured air mass compared with calculated air mass too high. Does anyone know what the problem may be? I reset the fault codes and the light went out, yet it comes back on after several miles of runabout. I've been out several times since and it seems fine except each time I reset the fault it eventually comes back on, so something is up. I'm not getting smoke in the cabin any longer however. thanks in advance.

Smoke from engine and yellow engine dash light

Could be, my treck to work is 11 mile each way and it's mostly traffic. Last blast of constant 3 hour motorway driving was probably a couple of months back. How would that explain the smoke coming into the cabin from the engine bay?

Galaxy S5 Lollipop USB Connected Drive.

P.s. Music streaming and telephone work fine over Bluetooth. It's just the connected drive app via usb that doesn't work.

Galaxy S5 Lollipop USB Connected Drive.

The Connected drive app doesn't detect anything is connected and the wizard within I drive changes to "not supported" from "not detected".
  7. Hi all, I have a 2013 F01 with NBT iDrive however my question is generic so posting in the F10 forum for help. Has anyone managed to get a Galaxy S5 with lollipop working via USB with Connected Drive App? No matter what I do I cant get it to work. Thanks.

    All lights on dash!

Yes I thought that, cheers. I tried again this morning after being away for the weekend and all was fine, so can't be a catastrophic failure... touches wood!

    All lights on dash!

Hi all, Have a problem with my 2010 f10 530d. Came out of the house this morning to start the car as normal by pressing the brake and pressing the start button. However rather than start it fleshes up a message on the Idrive the say something like next press will start the car, when I start the car all of the lights on the dash are on and remain on, flat tyre warning, airbag warning, abs warning etc. Car feels ok to drive but something has obviously gone wrong, has anyone experienced this? Thanks.

    £220 for rear pads!

Just had mine done at the dealer. Computer said 3300 miles left but said that for the last 8 months and 14k miles. I knew they needed doing as the rear passenger pad started grinding upon braking. Through this I can confirm that the rear pads are used more at lower speeds. At higher speed braking they do not get applied. The slower you go when braking the more the rears are applied. Not sure why this is... Smoother braking experience?

    Adaptive Drive

Yep, this is dynamic drive under test mode at a dealer... Pretty cool... This isn't the same as the "stiffening chassis" mode under "sport".

    Adaptive Drive

I have normal, sport and sport + on my F10 as I have the sports automatic gearbox with paddle shifter etc. The sport mode stiffens the chassis but I don't think this is the same as Dynamic Drive which uses hydraulics to counteract the body role. I've had both in my previous E60 and now this F10. Although dynamic drive has the edge there is not much in it for the average thrashing . Maybe different for the F07 though? L.

    Automatic Folding Mirrors

Just tried and it worked! Thanks, Lee.
  14. Anybody know if you can have BMW set the mirrors to automatically fold on locking the car?... I do have the folding option. Going to ask when I next go for service but wondered if anyone else has this set as you could on my old E60.
