  1. My car was remapped nearly 2 years ago and there's been no problems with the gearbox plus I prefer manual. I just need a good clutch. So far the only clutch I've found rated above my torque is a paddle clutch but I use the car for work and constantly parking in tight spaces so that would be no good.
  2. Can anyone advise of a clutch that will be able to handle 570nm of torque in my 2006 525d? I've already tried sachs but it's slipping just under a year since it was fitted.
  3. The name i got an email from was Perry Waterman (supersheen@btconnect.com) That's funny though lol "their website" is www.supersportwheels.co.uk and supersportwheels showed on my credit card statement so seems legit that way. I'm sure he does have some genuine wheels that he's took off other people because before i bought the spiders he said once they're on the car to phone him, he'd send a courier to pick up my old ones then refund me £200. If i didn't stay near glasgow i would've went down to see them first. I got a COA yeah but looks like he just typed it up himself and was dated the day they were shipped lol mine don't say ronal either but i heard genuine ones are meant to as well as bmw. I think it should be on the back of one of the spokes. They do look like 172s exactly but just no bmw stampings.
  4. I know but just wondered if it should have ronal stamped somewhere too? Like it has bmw with part numbers, etc. To be honest mate that sounds like the same retailer i got mine. Is his ebay name wheeldoctor2011 by any chance? 19" spiders were £900, on the phoned he guaranteed me they were genuine and said the same about that certificate so i bought them. They don't have bmw stampings, part numbers or anything. Completely plain apart from the STICKERS that say "made in Germany" "genuine bmw" and "ronal". Popped the tyres back too and they are black inside, it's a joke and he's still adamant they're real. Luckily i paid with credit card so they're dealing with. Just need to gets pics then email them to the card disputes team and they'll take the money back.
  5. Are they meant to say ronal anywhere inside? I'm asking because i recently bought a set that were advertised as genuine but are noticeably fake so I'm trying to gather as much evidence as possible to send to the credit card company and they will argue case for a refund.

  7. Maybe meet up somewhere once you've done it then mate. Good luck are you putting in the xenons or halogens?
  8. I'm not sure exactly what kit I have but it's just a box that plugs in to the car and a wire going in to the lights and they work fine. No problems and no errors. 5 minute job
  9. I put on the lci tail lights the other night with a retrofit kit but can't find any retrofit kits for the front which is why I spoke to this guy in bristol
  10. Aw ok. Thank you. I don't know if my 2006 will have the newer module then but definitely let me know how you get on are you doing all the work yourself
  11. There's a place near where I stay that can do all the coding and stuff that BMW do but for half the price so I was just going to rely on them. Obviously I'll speak to them first and see what they say really want to go ahead and get it done soon. Especially since BMW said it can't be done lol and I'm sure a lot of others would be interested if it works
  12. I've been talking to him again today and thinking of just buying the xenons, getting him to wire them in then getting the car coded to make the headlights work. He didn't advise this before because he hasn't done it before and said it would be a lot cheaper to start with halogens then put the hid kit in but he is willing to give it a go with the xenons. He doesn't see why it wouldn't work but would just need to get them coded after
  13. have a wee read. this is where i found him http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-5-Series-E60-E61-LCI-Facelift-Headlight-Headlamp-conversion-Xenon-available-/330611314914?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4cf9f850e2#ht_768wt_1270
  14. let me know what you think then once you've spoke to him. expensive but might be the only option
  15. Does anyone want the number for this guy in bristol then?
