    BMW E39 530i facelift breaking.

What condition is the centre dash air vent in? And price please. I also need one of these nuts circled in red...! Thanks!
  2. I believe it is: BMW part# 64 22 8 364 021 Also - one screw/nut that holds down the cam cover as indicated by the red circle. Thanks!

Shadow Chrome. Who are the best?

Thanks. I do remember Lepsons as the best in market but it was a long time ago. You're doing well to keep an OE set unrefurbed and as they left the factory! good work
  4. It’s been some 10 years since I last refurbed a set of shadow chrome m5 alloys. who are the bona fide top guys for doing them these days? Cheers

    E39 M5 Fuel Lines

Hi My understanding is that there are 3 lines/pipes related to fuel running the length of the car I believe that the outer most (ie towards the sill) 3rd pipe is the breather? And forgive my ignorance but therefore it carries no fuel? If thats the case why would there be a line/pipe running the whole length of the car? Surely there would just be a short breather routed somewhere else? Can anyone share their superior knowledge? (it wont be hard to be superior in this instance! ) Thanks

    Genuine E39 front rubber mats.

thread revival.... It took me over a year to find a set of good used E39 Rubber mats, and even they werent perfect. So hard to find these days. Great for keeping mint carpets that way!

    2003 E39 M5 Newbie

nice car! I have owned several E39 M5s and am a huge fan - particularly the late 02/03 cars. One of the finest vehicles BMW have ever made imho.......
  15. Dennis you are a gent and a goldmine of information! I personally prefer the OEM look items. I installed Dynavin previously and found it a reliable system. Satnav was excellent, the amp was plausible and genuinely did improve sound quality, but the interfaces were clunky and the telephone integration poor. OBC interaction was good. Overall I was happy enough with it as I don't tend to make too many calls on the move. However I also recall it costing circa £1k all paid for and installed inc reversing camera. I dont want to spend that again. I hoped that in the 4-5 years since, there had been a step change in user interaction and bluetooth capability, plus an expected price drop. I def wont go pioneer JVC etc route - I'd rather keep oem system in place with a bolt on USB thing via the old CD changer comms. I shall look at the options you list above - your insights are invaluable and have saved me time and effort running down blind alleys - so are much appreciated!
