  1. Well, the car has finally gone. Temperamental bugger and not the best example but it did have it's good points. Been with BMW for best part of 15yrs so time for a change, now the proud owner of a 2009 Honda Accord Tourer with lots and lots of toys so hopefully some more reliable driving this time round.

    Finally found a new project!

Oooohhh, liking this! My mates boss had one 'back in the day' and we took it to London for the day - Taunton to Twickenham in a shade under 1 3/4 hours (which in those days )

    Hmmmmm..........a rare beast indeed!

I agree - its not the worst rep I have seen and I do think it looks quite good but do people really believe they can advertise it is an M5 Diesel and get a way with it. I suppose he could have bought it as one and is still blissfully unaware!

    C4's The Plane Crash

Started watching it then got bored (coincidentally as soon as an american got involved!)..............."spent months looking for a suitable landing spot and had to visit everywhere including Mexico to find a suitable flat piece of ground".....really, no salt flats near you?? or open plains?? or deserts in Arizona?? FFS!!! Bad execution of a good idea, could have been good

    First Post

He he!........deja vu!! Read the problems I have been having over the past few months.................then go out and buy yourself either a new OEM on or, as I did, find a genuine one at a scrappy. Highly unlikely one form a scrappy is bad a sit was probably just taken off a damaged vehicle, but if you turn out to be that unlucky, getting another one is still going to be cheaper than a new OEM http://forum.bmw5.co.uk/topic/70281-engine-misfire-diagnosis-help-dis-codes-inside-update/ Oh, and welcome BTW.

recommended Independant dealer in Somerset anyone

Taunton has Jacks - although I have not had anything done there. I use Perry and Prouse (Wellington) when it is something I cannot handle myself - they are SAAB and now BMW. Wellington also has Grants - BMW specialists, again I have not had anything done there. Not sure bout the B'water side
  13. Well, after all it looks like a faulty MAF was the culprit after all - been running it for a week or so now with the old one unplugged with no issues at all. Today I picked another one up from a scrappy and all is well again......................................for now If the car turns out to be a keeper for any length of time (just taxed it again!) then next on the list is a precautionary fuel injector clean.
